The Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) regulates Federally Regulated Financial Institutions (FRFIs), which include Deposit Taking Institutions (DTIs) and Insurance Companies. Pursuant to its agreements with FINTRAC, and because of its role as a prudential regulator, OSFI conducts regular AML examinations of FRFIs.
